G Force is one of three Group 1 winners by the top-level-winning miler Tamayuz (by Nayef) and that stallion’s 20 blacktype scorers also include juvenile Group 2 winner and successful young sire Sir Prancealot who, like G Force, began his stud career at Tally Ho Stud.
That horse is now in Australia, and his first crop – now four-year-olds – features the Group/Grade 2 winners Beau Recall, Sir Dancealot, and Madam Dancealot. The latter’s most recent outing resulted in a nose second in the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes at Santa Anita in late May, whereas recent Group 2 Hungerford Stakes and Group 2 Lennox Stakes hero Sir Dancealot was fourth in last month’s Group 1 July Cup. Sadly, the odds of G Force making a similar impact are small, however, as he proved to be subfertile, fathered just eight foals, was gelded and returned to training. He’s now based with Adrian Keatley – having been a member of the David O’Meara team when landing the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock back in 2014 – and has been a stakes-placed sprint handicap winner this year. At his peak, Timeform rated him 126.
G Force is a half-brother to 10-furlong listed scorer Laajooj (by Azamour) and to Grade 3 Miesque Stakes winner Louvain (by Sinndar), and the latter is also notable as being the dam of Flotilla (by Mizzen Mast), the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf heroine of 2012 who went on to take the following year’s Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (French 1000 Guineas).
Their dam, Flanders (by Common Grounds), won the Listed Scarborough Stakes, was runner-up in the Group 2 King’s Stand Stakes and third in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes, and her siblings include Ascot Family (by Desert Style), the stakes-winning dam of Group 2 Prix Robert Papin winner and Group 1 Prix Morny runner-up Family One (by Dubai Destination). Flanders is also a half-sister to Capulet Monteque (by Camacho), who is the dam of Group 2 Rockfel Stakes winner Juliet Capulet (by Dark Angel), and to Land Army (by Desert Style), the unraced dam of Lethal Force (by Dark Angel). That Timeform 128-rated grey landed both the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes and Group 1 July Cup, he stands at Cheveley Park Stud, and has several blacktype horses in his first crop. G Force’s handful of progeny include some well-related individuals and it would be no surprise to see them so well in sprints and/or up to a mile. G FORCE (IRE) - b.2009 - Tamayuz - Flanders, 4 wins inc Sprint Cup (Gr1), 2nd City Walls Stakes (L), 3rd Cork Stakes (L), Scurry Stakes (L). Sire in Ireland. Only foals in 2017.
