Prolific Grade 1 star Point Of Entry (by Dynaformer) stands at Adena Springs Kentucky, he covered 112 mares in his first season and 107 in his second. He is a half-brother to the Grade 1 Alabama Stakes and Grade 1 Gazelle Stakes heroine Pine Island (by Arch), his dam, Matlacha Pass (by Seeking The Gold), is a full-sister to Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Distaff scorer Pleasant Home, and these are just some of the stars in his famous family.

Our Country Place (by Pleasant Colony), his unraced grandam, was also responsible for the prolific graded winner Country Hideaway (by Seeking The Gold), who is, in turn, the dam of the Grade 1-placed Grade 2 Demoiselle Stakes and Grade 2 Comely Stakes winner Boca Grande (by A.P. Indy), and his third dam is the Grade 1 Alabama Stakes and Grade 1 Monmouth Oaks star Maplejinsky (by Nijinsky).

A half-sister to the outstanding Timeform 137-rated English sprinter Dayjur (by Danzig), Maplejinsky was out of the sprint champion and dual Grade 2 scorer Gold Beauty (by Mr Prospector). She is the dam of the champion and nine-times Grade 1 star Sky Beauty (by Blushing Groom), and she is the grandam of the Grade 1 Wood Memorial Stakes and Grade 1 Cigar Mile Handicap scorer Tale Of Ekati (by Tale Of The Cat).

This is also the direct family of Grade 1 winner and popular Hill 'N' Dale Farms stallion Violence (by Medaglia d'Oro) and that great-grandson of Sky Beauty is another who has his first yearlings on offer in 2016.

Dayjur sired Group 1 Middle Park Stakes winner Hayil, Tale Of Ekati is a young blacktype sire, and Hurricane Cat (by Storm Cat), who is a Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes-winning son of Sky Beauty, has sired blacktype horses in France and in Argentina.

Point Of Entry's racing record and pedigree make him an interesting stallion prospect in the USA, but he also looks like a horse who may attract the attention of European buyers. He did not run at two, and he won over nine and 11 furlongs from eight starts at three, so he may not get many notable juveniles, but he could become a source of high-class middle-distance turf horses.
