Dr Sieglinde McGee is a widely published expert who has been writing on the subjects of horse racing and pedigrees of thoroughbreds for 32+ years and was awarded a PhD in 2005, from Trinity College Dublin, for a thesis titled Behavioural Reactivity and Ensuing Temperamental Traits in Young Thoroughbred Racehorses (Equus caballus).
Due to various commitments, the focus of this site has switched from producing frequent articles to showcasing some of my books. However, there may still some occasional articles, as time allows.
**Interested in doing articles for other publications or matings plans for studs.**
Praise for the two-volume (1,148 pages) Best Racehorses of 2020, a self-published, one-person endeavour that (hopefully) will continue for many years to come, includes:
* "simply the best"
* "it's classic material"
* "far more than a Timeform substitute"
* "a very worthy replacement" [for Timeform Annuals]"
* "the breeding information ... superior to Timeform"
Volume 1 examines the European Group 1 winners of 2020. Volume 2 focuses on Ireland and Great Britain's Group 2 and Group 3 winners of 2020 along with the horses from those countries who won at those levels elsewhere. Both books include a pedigree chart for every horse plus extensive indexes, making them an invaluable and comprehensive review of the 2020 racing season.
Pedigrees, Books & Racing also has a Facebook page.
