Hot Streak is one of the most fascinating individuals of this cohort of stallions and has the potential to become one of its more successful members. A high-class sprinter at two and three years of age, and pattern-placed at four, his top Timeform rating was the 120 he got as a juvenile, he is a son of a leading international stallion from the Gone West (by Mr Prospector) line, and comes from a family that has produced several stallions of note.

He is the best of several winners out of Ashirah (by Housebuster) and that unraced half-sister to the Grade 1-placed US Grade 3 scorer Mustanfar (by Unbridled), and to dual English listed scorer Tadris (by Red Ransom), it out of Manwah (by Lyphard), a daughter of Height Of Fashion (by Bustino).

That Group 2 Princess of Wales’s Stakes heroine was out of classic star Highclere (by Queen’s Hussar) and she was the dam of Nayef (by Gulch), Nashwan (by Blushing Groom), and Unfuwain (by Northern Dancer), among others of note. Each of that trio was a top-class racehorse, and each went on to sire Group 1 winners.

Tweenhills Farm & Stud team member Hot Streak had 76 foals in his first crop and he looks likely to get talented two-year-olds plus those who do well in the broad five to 10-furlong range as three-year-olds and older horses. It would be no surprise to see him get at least one or two Group 1 winners.
