FORTY TALES (USA) - 2010 bay horse

A talented performer from six to eight furlongs, Forty Tales is by the sire of Grade 1 winner and successful stallion Lion Heart, he is inbred 3x3 to Mr Prospector (by Raise a Native) and also 4x4 to Northern Dancer (by Nearctic).
 
He is a half-brother to the Grade 2-placed juvenile stakes winner Bear Character (by Dixie Union) and his stakes-placed dam, Forty Love (by Forty Niner), is out of the triple stakes winner Footy (by Topsider).

That mare is also responsible for the prolific Footing (by Forty Niner), a seven-times scorer who won a pair of listed contests and was placed in races such as the Grade 1 Frizette Stakes and Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes. Footy's string of blacktype-winning descendants also include a Grade 1 scorer in Argentina, Grade 2 Del Mar Derby winner Banned (by Kitten's Joy) and Grade 2 Dance Smartly Stakes winner Masseuse (by Dynaformer).
 
The fourth dam of Forty Tales is the 14-times scorer and multiple blacktype winner Romanticism (by Bold Ruler), who was out of 1956's US juvenile filly champion Romanita (by Roman), but they tell us nothing more about him than to confirm that this is a family with a well-established history of producing highly talented horses.
 
He stands at Sequel Stallions New York, covered 62 mares in his first season and 46 in his second.  If he has any runners in Europe, those numbers are likely to be small.
