 LIBRANNO (GB) - 2007 bay horse This grandson of Danzig (by Northern Dancer) thoroughly earned a berth at stud, and although he covered just four mares in his first season, all of whom produced a foal, he covered 19 in his second season. He was a prolific pattern winner at six and seven furlongs, and he stayed a mile. A half-brother to the pattern-placed juvenile sprinter Al Muthana (by Pastoral Pursuits), he is out of one-time scorer Annabelle Ja (by Singspiel), who is a half-sister to the dual Scandinavian champion Alyshakeys (by Sendawar). Her biggest win, on the international scene, was in the Group 3 Polar Cup at Ovrevoll. There are a few other blacktype horses to be found in the second and third generations of the pedigree, but if you go back another step then you find that the fourth dam of Libranno is listed scorer Adjarida (by Red God). In addition to being the grandam of listed winner and Group 1 Irish 2000 Guineas runner-up Adjareli (by Nishapour) and the third dam of Listed Marble Hill Stakes scorer and Group 1 Phoenix Stakes runner-up Access All Areas (by Approach The Bench), she is notable as being a half-sister to the dam of Group 1 star and hugely influential stallion Blushing Groom (by Red God).
