Fed Biz is from a famous sire-producing family

Fed Biz is by the multiple champion sire Giant's Causeway (by Storm Cat), whose stallion sons include the outstanding Irish-based Shamardal, and he comes from a famous stallion-producing family.

These attributes, combined with a racing career that saw him win three times at Grade 2 level, including a track-record performance when defeating Goldencents in the Pat O'Brien Stakes on the polytrack at Del Mar, make it understandable why he has been so popular.

Fed Biz stands at WinStar Farm in Kentucky, he covered 147 mares in his first season and 128 in his second. He won one of his two starts as a juvenile, was a Grade 2-placed stakes winner at three, and at his best at four and five years of age.

He is a half-brother to Spun Silk (by A.P. Indy), who is the stakes-winning dam of Grade 1 Vosburgh Stakes scorer Joking (by Distorted Humor), and his dam is a stakes-winning half-sister to three horses of note, one of them being Grade 2 King's Bishop Stakes winner and leading sire Tale Of The Cat (by Storm Cat).

Their half-brother Minardi (by Boundary) won both the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and Group 1 Middle Park Stakes and was placed in the Group 1 Irish 2000 Guineas, and their half-sister Myth (by Ogygian) is the winning dam of Johannesburg (by Hennessy), juvenile champion in both Europe and the USA before going on to become a sire of note.

Yarn (by Mr Prospector), the grandam of Fed Biz, is a full-sister to Grade 1 Frizette Stakes heroine Preach, who is the dam of Group 2 scorer and influential sire Pulpit (by A.P. Indy), and the next dam is Narrate (by Honest Pleasure).

She was a Grade 3-winning half-sister to several blacktype scorers, including Grade 3 winner and blacktype sire Announce (by Forty Niner), and her grandam – who is the fifth dam of Fed Biz – was Monarchy (by Princequillo), winner of the Arlington Lassie Stakes and a full-sister to influential stallion, Horse of the Year and multiple US champion Round Table.
