High-class stayer Mizzou is a dual Group 3 Sagaro Stakes winner whose final start was a three-length second to Order Of St George in the Group 1 Gold Cup at Ascot. He begins his new career at Old Road Stud in Co Waterford.
The son of multiple champion sire Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) is out of the 14-furlong listed race winner Moments Of Joy (by Darshaan), which makes him a full-brother to the Group 3 Give Thanks Stakes third Eternal Bounty and half-brother to Unity (by Sadler's Wells), a multiple blacktype-placed filly who was only beaten by half a length when third in the Group 3 Noblesse Stakes at Cork. Moments Of Joy is the best of three blacktype horses out of the Group 1 Prix Vermeille and Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine My Emma (by Marju) and that star is a half-sister to Classic Cliche (by Salse). He won the Group 1 Gold Cup and Group 1 St Leger plus the Group 2 Dante Stakes, Group 2 Yorkshire Cup and Group 2 Prix Kergorlay, and he enjoyed some success as a dual-purpose sire. Their siblings also include the lightly-raced pattern-placed Ebor Handicap winner Mediterranean (by Sadler's Wells) and Threatening (by Warning), the stakes-placed dam of Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes winner Mutinyonthebounty (by Sadler's Wells).
